Please Stop Enforcing Sit At Home Orders - Nnamdi Kanu Tells IPOB

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, didn't direct Southeasterners to sit-at-home on 4th day of October, 2022 or the other day he is to appear in court, a press release issued yesterday by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) which was lead by counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has said.

He urged members of the overall public to go about their normal business activities on the said date.

Ejiofor went on to dismiss speculations that Kanu will appear at Federal supreme court Umuahia, Abia State next Tuesday when a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed on his behalf is scheduled to be held.

Meanwhile, the IPOB has said that Presidential the candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar lacked the capacity of stopping the Biafra agitation movement .

This so said group which has been reacting to statement that was  credited to Atiku Abubaka claiming that he would stop Biafra agitation if he becomes Nigerian President, but cautioned himself against mentioning its name during his campaign in any part of the Southeast region.

To literally clear the air on Nnamdi Kanu’s position on the Monday sit at home, the separatist group’s lawyer, Ejiofor said:

Let the members of the overall public be properly informed and appropriately guided, that we've the firm instruction of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to tell the public, lovers of freedom and UmuChineke, that Onyendu won't be coming to court on the 4th day of October, 2022.

As it maybe, Mazi Onyendu neither directed, approved nor authorised anyone to declare a sit at home there on the date.

Members of the overall public are advised to go about their normal business activities on this said date.

This clarification has become compelling and necessary, in sight of the avalanche of misleading information on the social media, and plethora of calls i've got received from concerned UmuChineke to this effect.

It is to be noted too, that Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has several suits pending against the federal of Nigeria, her agencies and officials, in various courts across the Country.

For instance, the most Suit challenging the extraordinary rendition of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, filed before the Federal supreme court Abuja, against the Federal Republic of Nigeria & Anor, in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/462/2022, and therefore the Suit challenging the constitutionality or otherwise of the 2022 Practice Direction on the trial of terrorism offences, filed against the Chief Judge of the Federal supreme court & Anor, in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/550/2022, are equally arising for Hearing next week, before Hon. Justice Ekwo of Court No. 5, Federal supreme court Abuja.

However, kindly note that Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, still never approved nor authorized that on the said dates, the members of the overall public be directed to sit at home.

Furthermore, the so said group during a reaction had a statement credited to Atiku claiming that he would stop Biafra agitation if he becomes Nigerian President, but cautioned him against mentioning its name during his campaign in any part of Southeast region.

In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, IPOB advised Southeast politicians to warn him to prevent using Biafra agitation championed by its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for his political campaigns.

The statement reads in part:

Our attention has been drawn down to the laughable and also disgraceful statement credited to this PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Enugu State where he was ranting about with his members how he would stop Biafra agitation if he finally becomes the President of the Nigeria.

The Biafra Independence movement struggle that is being championed by IPOB is beyond the zoo’s local politics as it maybe. IPOB being the most important liberation movement in the world has a crop of intellectuals in her leadership doing great works and also are unstoppable by the criminal Nigeria politicians.

Atiku Abubakar and his corrupt political gang must know that we allowed them into Enugu State doesn't mean we don’t know what to do to stop them from entering Enugu State ever again.

As much as we are a civilized movement, we don’t want to be used for corrupt election campaigns or we'll force them to stop their campaigns in our territories.
